Ursoc's Den[52.1, 23.4] is the lair of Wild God Ursoc who once battled the Burning Legion during the War of the Ancients. It is located northwest of Westfall Brigade Encampment in the Grizzly Hills. The den is a great bear's head that has been carved out of solid rock, the mouth of it leading into a natural canyon. It is here that Ursoc dwelled thousands of years ago. [1]
History[]
Wrath of the Lich King[]
At the time of the war against the Lich King, the furbolgs of Grizzlemaw, feeling the clutch of madness, attempted to resurrect the spirit of Ursoc. However, the corruption of the Old God Yogg-Saron tainted him as well, until a shaman of the Timbermaw tribe named Tur Ragepaw and the adventurers came to cleanse the corruption in the den, freeing the spirit of the Wild God.[2][1]
Legion[]
During the third invasion of the Burning Legion, a dream portal opened up within a tree downhill from the Den, allowing druids exclusive access to the Emerald Dreamway. At some point, Guardian druids visited the Den's counterpart within the Emerald Dream to claim the Claws of Ursoc.[3]
After the Wild God was captured by Xavius, the heroes confronted a mad and corrupted Ursoc in the Den's counterpart corrupted by the Emerald Nightmare.[1]
