The Shaper's Terrace

Could we possibly have the REDIRECT of The Shaper's Terrace changed back? Shaper's Terrace and The Shaper's Terrace are not in the same area of Un'Goro - one is above Ironstone Plateau and the other is above what was Marshal's Refuge - the two are not connected. As the current page stands, it confuses readers into thinking that both are one and the same, which they are not.Frejya (talk) 02:02, July 18, 2010 (UTC)

They're at the same place. Little redundant to have two articles for the same thing. --Joshmaul (talk) 02:16, July 18, 2010 (UTC)
I'm double-checking again. As near as I can tell they are fairly well removed from one another.Frejya (talk) 02:20, July 18, 2010 (UTC)
Riding from The Shaper's Terrace above Marshal's Refuge - on a regular flying mount, running past the Waygate and along the hills - it takes just under a full minute to reach the other Shaper's Terrace. There is no pathway between them and they are completely separate. In fact, one is to the cardinal north of the zone while the other is to the cardinal east.Frejya (talk) 02:42, July 18, 2010 (UTC)
If you are correct in thinking that there are two different subzones in the same zone separated (in name) only by a 'the', then we have a problem. WoWWiki omits articles from page titles. Do we make an exception, or make up a new, more complex rule? This requires more discussion.--SWM2448 03:18, July 18, 2010 (UTC)
I was looking at the 'Crypt' page and wondering if this might be an example where disambiguation would be more appropriate. I'm not saying it's correct to create an entirely new page, but there needs to be some way to let the reader know that the Shaper's Terrace with the Waygate is not the same Shaper's Terrace with the new NPC.Frejya (talk) 03:21, July 18, 2010 (UTC)

Was asked to throw in my two cents... I don't know what to say... I'm not in beta so I can't give any judgments on the naming of subzones... especially since bliz decided to name two places almost identically in the same zone >< Snake.gifSssssssssssssssssssssssss Coobra sig3.gifFor Pony! Zalar as a Druid?

I was thinking that in Cataclysm that I might delete Zalar, re-make him as a druid, and then create another character as a shaman; perhaps a goblin or draenei. I just wanted to ask your opinion on this. --IconSmall Wolvar.gifBig, furry, and insane (Have a conversation with the homocidal furry!) Helps to both specify (and SOURCE) that. --Joshmaul (talk) 05:59, August 19, 2010 (UTC)
I did not watch it, but maybe it is in his lastest interview.
Nevermind, first line of the resumé:
"Beta Process: Things are still very much in flux in the beta. Chilton feels the expansion needs a few more months of iteration before it's ready."

Removed with Cataclysm

If the first quest of a chain is removed with cataclysm, you might well want to mark any associated quest chain page, and perhaps any additional quests that are affected.

Meanwhile, you know that Stalvan himself is no more? Is just the quest starter removed? Has the quest been migrated to other people, perhaps? --Eirik Ratcatcher (talk) 21:07, September 28, 2010 (UTC)

The quest chain - based on what I've seen and read from people who (unlike me, alas) are in beta - has apparently been moved to Tobias and set after we killed Stalvan. The quest descriptions clearly state he's dead and buried on the grounds of Manor Mistmantle. So "no more" might be much - "not moving", perhaps... --Joshmaul (talk) 21:40, September 28, 2010 (UTC)

Move Seekthreed

If you wouldn't mind, it'd be nice if you could move Seekthreed over to Saavedro's Coalition; I more or less made him become sane again and seek forgiveness from Artimus and Ketiron, which I said that they had accepted.

I'm not entirely sure if you think this would be the outcome of their meeting though, so feel free to tell me if you think otherwise. Toran Wildpaw of the Frenzyheart (talk) 01:31, 6 November 2010 (UTC)

We'll call Seekthreed an emissary from the Grand Army. He'll stay put with Kitrik's crew, but sorta have good relations with the coalition. (Kinda like how Artimus and Jaeden'laek have a good rapport with Ketiron, given that the Horde has now actively gone Ally-killa.) --IconSmall Deathwing.gif Joshmaul, Loremaster of Chaos (Leave a Message) 03:07, 6 November 2010 (UTC)
Alright then. I'll re-edit Seekthreed's page to reflect this. --IconSmall Wolvar.gifBig, furry, and insane (Talk with me!) (Stalk me!) 03:38, 6 November 2010 (UTC)

Cataclysm stubs

Seekthreed (again)

Just wanted to warn you ahead of time, Seek may or may not go worgen sometime in the not-too-distant-future. --IconSmall Wolvar.gifBig, furry, and insane (Talk with me!) (Stalk me!) 02:48, 18 December 2010 (UTC)

And you plan on naming him...? (Seekthreed would be too ingrained to the orc character, I'd think. I'd also considered making my DK worgen, but I haven't a clue what the hell to name him!) --IconSmall Deathwing.gif Joshmaul, Loremaster of Chaos (Leave a Message) 05:09, 19 December 2010 (UTC)
Something along the lines of "Sigfried" (that's actually how I came up with Seekthreed's name, heh: Seek's name is basically a horribly mis-spelled version of that). Like I said though, it may or may not happen: I'm hoping, but you never know. --IconSmall Wolvar.gifBig, furry, and insane (Talk with me!) (Stalk me!) 00:10, 22 December 2010 (UTC)
Unless you think that's too similiar to Seekthreed, though. That's the name I'd like to use, but it doesn't matter all that much. --IconSmall Wolvar.gifBig, furry, and insane (Talk with me!) (Stalk me!) 00:11, 22 December 2010 (UTC)

In the meantime...

I've made a worgen DK on Medivh and made a page for him. I haven't put in very much yet, but I figured I'd just make a basic page for now and add in some stuff later. I put him up as one of the Deathsworn, but they have quite a few members at the moment, so I'm not entirely sure. Take a look at what I've put down and tell me what you think when you get a chance. User:Toran Wildpaw of the Frenzyheart/Siegfrid Thaumen. --IconSmall Wolvar.gifBig, furry, and insane (Talk with me!) (Stalk me!) 19:59, 2 January 2011 (UTC)

If you want, put a word in with somebody in TheCatsMeow and ask for an invite. Tell them Devaneaux sent you (that's how they know me there). As for the Deathsworn - I may make a new tab for the Shadowhowl pack (as they're known).
I had actally considered changing Devaneaux himself into a worgen, explaining it as being Artimus' son Kieran (Artimus himself would remain as a background player), saying that he had been corrupted by Arugal and then brought into the Scourge. I have yet to make a decision, and at the moment we don't have money available (I got $200 for Christmas from my great-grandfather and have only spent $25 - I can only use it as long as my stepfather has money, since I put the 200 in his bank account, since I don't make my own money, heh). --IconSmall Deathwing.gif Joshmaul, Loremaster of Chaos (Leave a Message) 23:55, 2 January 2011 (UTC)
Urgh. I'm having trouble coming up with an actual background for Siegfrid, since, with Cataclysm, whatever little sense the Warcraft timeline made has been thrown out the window (due to the odd nature of the Gilnean Civil War, what with it apparently starting a little bit after the Wall is built and ending a little bit before the Cataclysm, and how DKs start in Wrath of the Lich King and apparently warp through space-time for their last quest to after the Lich King is dead). This would be so much easier if Blizzard had an established timeline that actually made any sense at all. --IconSmall Wolvar.gifBig, furry, and insane (Talk with me!) (Stalk me!) 23:56, 3 January 2011 (UTC)
Worgen death knights are established as ex-sons of Arugal. Try to base it around that, heh... --IconSmall Deathwing.gif Joshmaul, Loremaster of Chaos (Leave a Message) 08:42, 4 January 2011 (UTC)

Aww...

You didn't include Sigfried in your FanFic :P

Ah, well, I doubt he would've been able to fit very well anyways. I wrote his bio really sloppy, since I had no real idea what happened when, due to the weirdness of the WoW timeline, so I suppose it would've been hard to judge where he was and when.

Not to mention, it is your FanFic after all, not mine. --IconSmall Wolvar.gifBig, furry, and insane (Talk with me!) (Stalk me!) 01:32, 22 February 2011 (UTC)

Well, most worgen DKs are former Sons of Arugal, so you'd have been busy on the other side of the wall, lol...but don't worry, I might find a way to get you in as a cameo. *grin* --IconSmall Deathwing.gif Joshmaul, Loremaster of Chaos (Leave a Message) 16:10, 22 February 2011 (UTC)
Well, I like to imagine that he was on the Gilnean side of the wall up until Crowley was arrested, but again, with the weirdness of the WoW timeline and with me not having any idea what happened when, it's difficult to say where he would've been and when he was there. But I'm glad that there's at least a chance of a cameo, despite my failure at deciphering the timeline :D --IconSmall Wolvar.gifBig, furry, and insane (Talk with me!) (Stalk me!) 18:16, 22 February 2011 (UTC)

Korogh

Might want to do a little something about Korogh Madeyes; I've noticed that he seems to be stuck in Caverns of Time: Hunting Down Artimus. "Where are ye, ye basterd?!" "Dwarf, for the third time, this instance isn't availiable yet..." --IconSmall Wolvar.gifBig, furry, and insane (Talk with me!) (Stalk me!) 19:49, 7 April 2011 (UTC)

Heh, I had actually considered making him a death knight - one who'd have been made during the war in Northrend and freed when the Lich King died. Except that'd be two Ally DKs, lol... --IconSmall Deathwing.gif Joshmaul, Loremaster of Chaos (Leave a Message) 21:23, 7 April 2011 (UTC)

From A Curious Fan....

Yo, I just wanna say ima huge fan of you fan fiction, love your character articles (took some of death knight ones as inspiration for my sole character article thus far.)

I noticed that you've stopped playing on your Saavedro character. I had an interesting idea: Since you brought Joshmaul back and thus Ammenkayn's prophecy was rendered null and void, maybe you could resurrect Saavedro so that when he and Joshmaul meet for the final time it really IS in such a way that Joshmaul can never return? Like Jaeden'laek can have a vision that Ammenkayn's prophecy was false or something, and he seeks Velen and Malfurion Stormrage for counsel, and only the combined magics of a Priest or Druid could bring him back. (Like Gandalf was brought back in the Lord of The Rings saga; he could be renamed Saavedro of Lordaeron or something....)

You don't have to take this suggestion, its your fanfiction. But it would be awesome. Anyways, keep writing! GaroxxOfTheCabal (talk) 20:35, 4 June 2011 (UTC)

Greetings! Good to see more readers. *grin* You may be interested to know that I have recently started a blog, with Master Ketiron narrating the wars of the Cataclysm (mostly from a Horde perspective, but Master Ketiron tries his best to be objective). The link is here; it goes in chronological order from first to last.
As for your proposal - for the last few months, I have flirted with the idea of resurrecting Saavedro, either as a death knight - which would be a MAJOR blow to his pals, considering! - or in his old job as a paladin, if only because he was "there" right up until the end in Northrend (when I faction-swapped him to Ketiron in December 2009, it was right in the beginning of Icecrown Citadel; thus, all the fighting with the Lich King was as Ketiron...I wrote Saavedro off as "dead" once my guild killed him, even though I myself have not...yet) and it would be interesting to see him in the world beyond the Cataclysm. Only trouble is, on both the servers I play on - Medivh and Cenarion Circle - the name is taken. And the paladin that was Saavedro is currently a tauren paladin (Telek Eaglespear), and he is heavily invested in his Horde guild; I don't think ViceJaw would forgive me if I pulled stakes and went Alliance, especially considering the amount of work I put into him recently.
For all intents and purposes, Saavedro is dead; given the impact he has made on many of the characters, however, he is certainly not forgotten. There may be time somewhere down the line, however... --IconSmall Deathwing.gif Joshmaul, Loremaster of Chaos (Leave a Message) 03:44, 5 June 2011 (UTC)

Zaelan's role in the Whitehair Crisis

I've made it so that Zae's masquerading as a noble in the Council of Silvermoon in order to back Kel'tanis as a means of attaining revenge against Ketiron for thwarting his attempt at a coup. Not sure how much of an impact you'd think this would have on the debate, but I just thought I'd mention it incase you think it would lead to anything. --IconSmall Wolvar.gifBig, furry, and insane (Talk with me!) (Stalk me!) 02:00, 19 June 2011 (UTC)

Joshmaul still has ties to the Forsaken (though Sekhesmet might not be so keen on helping him out), and the major push is to have a sin'dorei House allied with Sylvanas, in case she has another one of her "nasty plans", lol. If the House of Whitehair comes under Kel'tanis' dominion, it may well come back into Joshmaul's - which would make Ketiron, Areinnye and Kel'theris (and everyone who backed them) renegades. The major obstacles to Kel'tanis' claim, however, are: 1)Kel'theris, as the eldest member of the House, supports Ketiron - and has a stronger claim than his son does, 2)Ketiron has an heir, and Kel'tanis does not, and 3)if the fan fic about Lor'themar is any indication, the Regent is not exactly enthusiastic about Forsaken influence in Quel'Thalas, a viewpoint Ketiron shares. The only way that Kel'tanis could possibly override the superior claims is to kill everyone else in the House. --IconSmall Deathwing.gif Joshmaul, Loremaster of Chaos (Leave a Message) 22:30, 21 June 2011 (UTC)
Alright, that's what I figured. But hey, Zae's Zae. Who knows what kind of logic he uses, heh. --IconSmall Wolvar.gifBig, furry, and insane (Talk with me!) (Stalk me!) 00:26, 22 June 2011 (UTC)
