Gilneas civil war

Gilneas civil war is said to have lasted up to Cataclysm and begun when they closed the gates, which happens during the Third War, so Gilneas civil war is concurrent to all Wars that happened since (Lich King, Nexus, Gnomeregan, Echo).

or not?

IconSmall Hamuul.gif Loremaster A'noob, Arch Druid of the Noobhoof Clan (talk/contribz) 08:18, May 19, 2010 (UTC)

Really? But having the link in both the previous and concurrent sections seems really wrong. --Sairez (talk)
Yeah, maybe only concurrent so?

So your ok with and accept my edits? --Sairez (talk)
Yes, GCW is concurrent to all wars since the Third.
I just moved it to the last, because it is not really important and we have not much things about it.

It's been noticed you haven't been properly signing your comments on talk pages. I'd like to remind you using four tildes (~~~~) will automatically produce your name and date. If you can not find the tilde key there are two other ways to sign your posts. Above the edit box is a button ( Button sig.png ) and towards the bottom while editing is a box of many useful inserts, which also contains the four tildes.

The reason we'd like you to sign your posts is that Wowpedia is not a forum where it automatically states who posted and when it was posted, signing (with a date) will make it clear and easier to follow a conversation, or tell how old a conversation is. Thank you for understanding. -- Snake.gifSssssssssssssssssssssssss Coobra sig3.gifFor Pony! (Sssss/Slithered) 04:45, June 16, 2010 (UTC)

Moving Cata pages

While I understand your logic, please don't move the articles. They will eventually be moved into their correct locations when Cataclysm goes live and the old quests are moved into a new spot. Cataclysm stubs

Please discontinue using {{Stub/Cataclysm}} as the expansion is almost upon us and most of what you're tagging has already been introduced by the Shattering anyway. Just use the normal stubs. Horde article

I am informing all recent contributors of the Horde article that it has been locked for cleanup. We welcome any and all discussion on the Horde talk page once cleanup has begun. This is to insure everyone who has been editing the article will be happy with it, or at least meet a compromise on certain subjects, so the edit warring can be put to an end. Sunreaver's loyalty in question

You changed: The Kirin Tor questioning the Sunreaver's loyalty. You said:(The only who questions the Sunreavers loyalty is Vereesa. The other Kirin Tor understand Thalen betrayed the Sunreavers and the Kirin Tor.) However., it still hurt their credibility admitted by Aethas Sunreaver.(Sports72Xtrm (talk) 03:45, 20 October 2012 (UTC))

In all honesty the article should be changed to reflect that their credibility was damaged and not that there loyalties are being questioned. Tides of War shows nothing to suggest the loyalty of the Sunreavers as a whole is in question, other than Vereesa. For the record it was Rhonin who mentioned that, it just bugs me when people quote the wrong person on something. --Sairez (talk) 16:33, 20 October 2012 (UTC)

It's probably best to avoid {{welcome}}'ing people before their first contribution: User talk:AnnettBeeson and User talk:KarinSaunders, for example, were simply spambots. — foxlit (talk) 21:26, 24 September 2013 (UTC)

Baine's personality

Hello, I managed to find the cited page and create it here - Faces of Cataclysm but Baine is not amongst the characters. The last archived page is from January 2012 and I'm not sure if that page was updated since then. However, originally, Cho'gall wasn't there at first but was added later. Could it be that Baine was added later as you say you are sure it is from the page? --Mordecay (talk) 09:20, 16 July 2015 (UTC)

I'm positive that the page and that Baine must of been added on later. To be honest what really helps me realize that it was from the Faces of Cataclysm is after Baine reading that Baine is everything Garrosh is not, my eyes immediately looked back up at the Garrosh section and I think I either laughed or snorted.--X59 (talk) 09:37, 16 July 2015 (UTC)

TFT manual

Ho there, I just noticed you added info into Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne Game Manual and there are some additional comas so I assume you are writing it anew? There is this page Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne manual so you don´t need to type again just copy it from that page. Also there is a vote going whether to merge the two or not; there´s more votes in favor and has been this way for several weeks or months so hopefully, it can be done already :D --Mordecay (talk) 10:29, 8 December 2015 (UTC)

(Blink) I was unaware of the vote, just saw the stub and decided to work to get rid of it. Well thanks for the information. --X59 (talk) 22:05, 8 December 2015 (UTC)

Recent edits

Hey, good work on the pages u added something! Some concerns here, tho. --Mordecay (talk) 14:20, 25 August 2017 (UTC)

Yeah, thanks for the new lore you added on the pages that needed them. I also appreciate your effort to clean out lore stubs, but you removed way too much of them, for pages that could indeed use improvement. Please next time discuss this before doing similar major sweeps. Xporc (talk) 15:18, 25 August 2017 (UTC)
In thinking about it I can see that I may have jumped the gun in regards to the stubs. As such I'll most likely only remove stubs after I've added to the article in question just to be on the safe side and ensure I don't remove stubs from articles that can be improved.--X59 (talk) 17:29, 25 August 2017 (UTC)
That's cool. You removed the stub tag from several articles that didn't needed it anymore and you added a lot of text to other articles. You were bold! Xporc (talk) 21:17, 25 August 2017 (UTC)
I'd prefer if you would leave the stubs on pages for quest with associated items that does not yet have pages. Even though the quest page might technically be in optimal condition. Think I got most of them from this batch, but not having stubs to go by, makes it harder to see where new item pages are needed :) PeterWind (talk) 07:17, 28 August 2017 (UTC)
All right, I'll keep that in mind as I look over the quest stubs.--X59 (talk) 07:59, 28 August 2017 (UTC)
Also, they also lack "in-game info" as in where exactly to go whomstd to kill, dialogues (if any) etc. --Mordecay (talk) 01:04, 1 September 2017 (UTC)

"…Something was roiling just beneath the ocean’s surface. The hitherto- smooth surface began to churn wildly, seething, as if from a storm, although the day was clear. A horrible sound that Arthas only dimly recognized as laughter assaulted his ears, along with the screaming of a world wrenched from its proper place, hauled upward to face the light of day it had not seen in uncounted centuries…."

Regarding this, maybe? --Mordecay (talk) 01:54, 1 September 2017 (UTC)

Hm...One one hand the ocean's surface section would fit the Maelstrom and yet there was no world wrenched from it's proper place and hauled to face the light of day it had seen in encountered centuries during World of Warcraft: Cataclysm. As such I see it as a reach to view that vision as the shattering.--X59 (talk) 03:02, 3 September 2017 (UTC)

Legion Assaults

Hey, good idea with the assaults summaries, but I was thinking what about putting them on the Legion Assaults page so that the page wouldn't be so empty? --Mordecay (talk) 18:56, 7 September 2017 (UTC)

That's a good idea and to be honest I planned on looking at it after I completed the summaries for the Third invasion of the Burning Legion page. Plus I'm not 100% on how the structure should be handled. Like should each invasion be it's own paragraph or should each zone have it's own section so that the World Quests during the Invasions could be added and what not.--X59 (talk) 19:34, 7 September 2017 (UTC)

Maelstrom quests

Heya, I want to make sure that if these Maelstrom quests are in the game in 8.2.0? --Mordecay (talk) 08:47, 7 September 2019 (UTC)

I personally did the quests in the game. They are activated when you get the  [Heart of Azeroth] to level 65. It starts from a Earthen near the Ripa the Wind Ripper, the dock flightmaster for Horde. Not sure where it starts for the Alliance.--X59 (talk) 19:57, 7 September 2019 (UTC)
Ah, okay, thx! --Mordecay (talk) 21:42, 7 September 2019 (UTC)
Your welcome. :)--X59 (talk) 19:42, 8 September 2019 (UTC)

If you're going to insist on being the one to add every piece of Shadows Rising information to the wiki, please try to improve your English skills so the resulting pages are actually understandable. Stuff like "a accept that they easily accepted" or "the Horde is tall with black hair" doesn't even make any sense. -- IconSmall TrollDeathKnight Male.gif DeludedTroll (talkcontribs) 12:43, 22 July 2020 (UTC)

It's not a matter of insisting, it's matter of me having the time and knowing that there's no real set schedule to when an article will be updated. Furthermore I acknowledge that I should have read aloud what I was typing in order to make sure that I didn't make mistakes, such as being focused on one word when I was typing another as with the Zun article, or double check certain information when misremembering about a minor character like Arva.
Meanwhile I'm honestly a bit surprised that you felt the need to me message about this, since not only have others simply corrected mistakes with their own edits, but by now the only way to see said mistakes is with the edit history. Furthermore in other occasions the grammar clean up request acknowledges that grammar mistakes were made in a more diplomatic fashion, especially tone can't be read over the internet. On that note I do believe that you were genuinely trying to helpful. It's just that I've seen forums breakdown over confusion on tone, and I know people who use please sarcastically.--X59 (talk) 18:26, 22 July 2020 (UTC)
I did not intend "please" to be sarcastic, but you're right that I was needlessly rude there. My apologies. Still, in many of your edits you end up writing sentences with confusing structure or copy-pasting large chunks of text from other pages (or quoting in-game dialogue verbatim) even when it ends up making the text illogical or overly long and detailed. Ideally other people do correct any mistakes, but from what I've seen, that doesn't end up happening in many cases due to the quantity of edits and the amount of content you add, and it'd be better to not have to slap a {{cleanup}} tag on them in the first place. -- IconSmall TrollDeathKnight Male.gif DeludedTroll (talkcontribs) 20:30, 22 July 2020 (UTC)
Apology accepted, no harm was done, and I shall endeavor to be more diligent in my future edits.--X59 (talk) 20:58, 22 July 2020 (UTC)
