Venomous Wounds is an Assassination rogue talent. It causes the rogue to regain Energy when dealing bleed damage to a poisoned target.
Patch changes[]
- Patch 10.0.0 (2022-10-25): Now a row 2 Assassination talent (was a level 37 Assassination ability).
- Patch 9.0.5 (2021-03-09): Now restores 8 Energy (was 7).
- Patch 9.0.1 (2020-10-13): Now learned at level 37 (was 50).
- Patch 7.1.0 (2016-10-25): Now learned at level 50 (was 22).
- Patch 7.0.3 (2016-07-19): Re-added and redesigned as a level 22 ability (was 50). Now causes the rogue to regain 7 Energy each time their abilities deal Bleed damage to a poisoned target.
- Old: Each time your Rupture or Garrote deals damage to an enemy that you have poisoned, you have a 75% chance to deal X additional Nature damage and to regain 10 Energy. Garrote will not trigger this effect if the enemy is also afflicted by your Rupture. If an enemy dies while afflicted by your Rupture, you regain up to 120 energy, based on remaining duration.
- Old: Each time your Rupture or Garrote deals damage to an enemy that you have poisoned, you have a 75% chance to deal X additional Nature damage and to regain 10 Energy. Garrote will not trigger this effect if the enemy is also afflicted by your Rupture. If an enemy dies while afflicted by your Rupture, you regain up to 120 energy, based on remaining duration.
- Patch 6.0.2 (2014-10-14): Effects have been merged into baseline [Rupture] for Assassination Rogues. It no longer triggers from [Garrote] and now always triggers when Rupture deals damage (up from a 75% chance).
- Patch 5.0.4 (2012-08-28): Chance to trigger increased from 60% to 75%. Garrote will no longer cause this effect if the rogue has also applied Rupture to the target. Now a level 50 Assassination ability (was a Tier 6 Assassination talent).
- Patch 4.0.3a (2010-11-23): Base damage and attack power coefficient have been increased by 30%.
