Venture Coins are quest rewards from PvP daily quests at Venture Bay in Grizzly Hills. As of patch 4.0.1, all Venture Coins were converted into Honor Points, removing them from the game. The quests that these could be obtained from now reward Honor points.

That is a max of 50 coins per day. At current, that will be worth 150 new honor points come 4.0.1

Vendors are only available when your side (Horde or Alliance) owns the Lighthouse.
