Blizzard Albany, formerly known as Vicarious Visions, is a team under Blizzard Entertainment located in Albany, New York.
History[]
It began working with Blizzard in 2019, starting with work on Battle.net integration.[1] In 2020, alongside Team 3, it began work on Diablo II: Resurrected, taking over from Team 1.
Vicarious Visions was moved over from Activision to Blizzard in early 2021 and would focus entirely on Blizzard's franchises.[2][3] They were merged with Blizzard on 12 April 2022 and renamed to Blizzard Albany and would be fully dedicated to Blizzard games.[4]
