- Vol'mar Captives can be found on the Throne of Kil'jaeden.
- This outpost has a portal to Warspear. Warspear also has a portal leading back here.
- Vol'mar shares several similarities with Thrallmar in Hellfire Peninsula. Both are named after the current Warchief at the time they were built and end in "mar", they are both located in roughly the same spot, and they both occasionally come under attack by a barrage of infernal comets.
