Shadowlands Shadowlands[]

World of Warcraft: Shadowlands was pre-released in 3 distinct all-digital editions—the base edition, the heroic edition, and the epic edition—later adding the collector's edition, the only physical one.

On November 1, 2019, the pre-orders for this expansion were announced,[1] allowing customers to acquire any of the three digital editions and immediately obtaining their in-game goodies included, as well as the ability to upgrade the lower ones at a later time paying the difference. The Collector's Edition was announced on July 8, 2020,[2] to be later in August 27 confirmed that this would be the first Collector's Edition to be shipped earlier to the release, in October 13; this shipping wasn't affected by the release delay[3][4] and was effectively done in the announced date. The Collector's Edition would provide the ability to have the initial digital edition purchase (not subsequent upgrades) reimbursed in Blizzard Balance in the customer's account up until March 31, 2021.
