Wars on Two Fronts was a breadcrumb quest that helped players navigate the zone scaling system implemented by patch 7.3.5. Cataclysm and Mists of Pandaria zones were made to scale from level 80 - 90, allowing players to level in either expansion for part of their journey.
Ultimately, this system was replaced by Timewalking Campaigns.
