Way Gates are fabulous buildings that transport units from one way gate to another.[1]
To use a way gate, simply direct units towards the portal - they will be teleported to its sister way gate. Alternatively, one can just direct units to where the sister way gate is, as the units will automatically enter the gate. They're a relatively rare sight as many maps don't contain them.
Muradin Bronzebeard's expedition to Northrend sought an ancient way gate that supposedly transported one to a hidden vault where the runeblade Frostmourne was held.[2]
