Description[]

I wish that I knew of this place sooner. Where terrible darkness could be purged from oneself, memories examined and expunged...

I am willing to do whatever it takes to help defeat Zovaal, no matter the cost.

This is the only way.

On accept, Anduin runs over to the northern soul mirror and begins channeling:

Gazing

Anduin gasps in pain.

Anduin Wrynn says: I pray some good can come from all of this.

Interact with the third shard, causing three Mawbound Memories to spawn from Anduin.

He screams in pain.

Anduin Wrynn says: What is this... It... it's too much!

More Mawbound Memories start rapidly spawning until a large pack is swarming around the player. Luckily, they barely do any damage.

Anduin stops channeling and falls to his knees as the memories stop appearing.

Anduin Wrynn says: I... cannot.

Jaina kills the memories with a Frost Nova.

Lady Jaina Proudmoore says: Anduin! We cannot put him through this again!

Sylvanas reflects.

Sylvanas Windrunner says: I see your struggle, young lion. Allow me to offer perspective.

Talk to Sylvanas:

A cutscene plays:

Memories appear in the chamber, depicting the events of Sylvanas' Farewell in Warcraft III: the Frozen Throne. Sylvanas readies an arrow in slow motion as Arthas Menethil comes riding on Invincible, escorted by four of Sylvanas' banshees.

Sylvanas Windrunner says: I don't remember the exact moment I wrested control.

Sylvanas' arrow hits Arthas in the chest. Sylvanas begins circling the image of her past self.

Sylvanas Windrunner says: I do remember the rush of freedom. The clarity of purpose.

Sylvanas Windrunner says: When I loosed my arrow, I sought to become his judge and his executioner.

She walks up to the side of the Arthas memory.

Sylvanas Windrunner says: I thought that if I could punish him for his crimes, I would be absolved of mine.

Sylvanas Windrunner says: Forgiven for the atrocities he forced me to commit against my own people.

A ghostly laughter is heard as a memory of Kel'Thuzad appears and kills the banshees with frost magic. The memories of Arthas and Kel'Thuzad fade away.

Sylvanas Windrunner says: But there would be no justice that day.

Sylvanas Windrunner says: For anyone.

Sylvanas Windrunner says: That... is yet to come.
