Patch changes[]

  • Dragonflight Hotfix (2023-07-06): Will now deal damage even if the target is out of line of sight of the Druid.
  • Dragonflight Hotfix (2023-06-13): Wild Mushroom will now deal its damage even if the target is out of line of sight of the Druid.
  • Dragonflight Hotfix (2022-11-22): Fixed an issue where Wild Mushroom's damage would sometimes be delayed.
  • Dragonflight Patch 10.0.0 (2022-10-25): Re-added and redesigned as a row 8 Balance talent (was a level 84 Balance and Restoration ability). Grow a magical mushroom at the target enemy's location. After 1 sec, the mushroom detonates, dealing (140% of Spell power) Nature damage and generating up to 20 Astral Power based on targets hit.
Old: Balance: Grow a magical mushroom with 5 health at the target location that lasts 20 sec. The mushroom emits a fungal cloud that slows all enemies within 5 yards by 50%. Only 3 mushrooms can be placed at one time.
Restoration: Grow a magical mushroom with 5 health at the target ally's location, restoring (56.445% of spell power) health to three injured allies within 10 yards of its location every 2 sec for 30 sec. Only 1 mushroom can be placed at a time.

  • Legion Patch 7.0.3 (2016-07-19): Removed. Restoration druid version converted into Inv misc herb talandrasrose [Efflorescence].
  • Warlords of Draenor Patch 6.0.2 (2014-10-14):
    • Mushrooms no longer become invisible. Druid ability wildmushroom b [Wild Mushroom: Detonate] and Druid ability wildmushroom b [Wild Mushroom: Bloom] removed.
    • Balance: Now begins snaring enemies immediately when summoned, lasts 20 seconds, and can no longer be detonated to deal damage.
    • Restoration: Redesigned. Grow a magical mushroom with 5 health at the target ally's location, restoring (42% of Spell power) health to three injured allies within 10 yards of its location every 2 sec for 30 sec.
Old Restoration effect: The mushroom grows larger as it accumulates healing power from 100% of overhealing done by your Rejuvenation, up to a maximum of 200% of your health in bonus healing. Recasting Wild Mushroom will move the Mushroom without losing this accumulated healing. Wild Mushroom: Bloom can consume your Mushroom to heal nearby allies.
  • Mists of Pandaria Hotfix (2013-10-02): Raise Dead and Druid ability wildmushroom a [Wild Mushroom: Plague] (obtained through Druid's Spell druid symbiosis [Symbiosis]) should no longer cause each other's summons to despawn.
  • Mists of Pandaria Patch 5.4.0 (2013-09-10): Wild Mushroom for Restoration Druids now summons a single mushroom at the friendly target's location. If the mushroom is recast, the mushroom moves to the new location and retains its accumulated bonus healing.
    • A single mushroom now heals for as much as what 3 mushrooms combined healed for previously.
    • The amount of healing stored on a Wild Mushroom is now reduced by Battle Fatigue.
    • Wild Mushroom and Wild Mushroom: Bloom now have a shared 3-second cooldown.
  • Mists of Pandaria Patch 5.2.0 (2013-03-05): Restoration: Wild Mushrooms will now gain 25% of the overhealing performed by the Druid's Spell nature rejuvenation [Rejuvenation] effects, up to a maximum of 33% of the Druid's health in bonus healing, and growing larger as they do so. When Wild Mushroom: Bloom is cast, this bonus healing will be divided evenly amongst targets in the area of effect.
  • Mists of Pandaria Patch 5.0.4 (2012-08-28): Redesigned as a level 84 Balance and Restoration specialization ability (was a level 85 ability for all druids). Grow a magical Mushroom with 5 Health at the target location. After 6 sec, the mushrooms will become invisible. Druid ability wildmushroom b [Wild Mushroom: Detonate] (Balance) and Druid ability wildmushroom b [Wild Mushroom: Bloom] (Restoration) can target these mushrooms for additional effects.
Old: Grow a magical Mushroom with 5 Health at the target location. After 6 sec, the Mushroom will become invisible. When detonated by the Druid, all Mushrooms will explode dealing damage to all nearby enemies. Only 3 Mushrooms can be placed at one time. Use Wild Mushroom: Detonate to detonate all Mushrooms.
  • Cataclysm Hotfix (2011-01-26): Wild Mushroom can now be cast correctly even if the target is on a different height of terrain from the druid.
  • Cataclysm Hotfix (2010-12-15): Wild Mushroom is now correctly benefiting from, and consuming, Predator's Swiftness.
  • Cataclysm Patch 4.1.0 (2011-04-26): Several persistent ground effects now display different visuals for hostile and friendly players. Wild Mushroom now has new alternate visuals for hostile players.
