Wilmer was a member of the Desolate Council who participated in the Gathering in the Arathi Highlands. During the event, he reunited with the humanJago, who described Wilmer as "my Wilmer [...] the best man I ever knew and loved".[1] After Sylvanas Windrunner recognized that members of the Desolate Council like Parqual Fintallas were trying to defect to the Alliance, she blew the horn of retreat commanding the Forsaken to return to her at Thoradin's Wall. However, after it was discovered that Calia Menethil had been attending, Sylvanas lashed out and ordered for the deaths of all Forsaken members on the field, regardless if they were trying to defect to the Alliance or return to her.[2] Wilmer was slain and Jago was left devastated by his death.[1]
