Wowpedia:Bot requests

This article is a list of bot requests. You can request massive repetitive changes on specific pages and a bot user might take care of it at some point.

Please note, for best results, requests must have a clear way to determine a set of pages on which the operation should be performed, and should not require review of each change after it is performed. Otherwise, it is a task best left to manual edits.

Requests

• Check all {{settip}} transcludes for {{item}} calls and convert them to plain links (like in this diff. --Kaydeethree (talk) 03:51, 15 March 2023 (UTC)
• Has the | removed = functionality in Questboxes been deprecated (replaced by the {{Removed}} box) completely? If so, have a bot remove that line from all pages using it. (or at least in pages where its presence is redundant) Mordecay (talk) 22:29, 26 April 2023 (UTC)

On hold

There are some admin discussions that might delay these, or obviate the need for them, so holding off for the moment.

• Delete every redirect with the prefix "Quest:". I think we've kept them around for long enough. -- Dark T Zeratul (talk) 00:26, 3 June 2021 (UTC)
  • Mass deletions: Removal of all unused redirects that begin with [[Quest:...]]. I presume this is a relic of not deleting pages when the name convention was settled and all the previous quest pages were moved while leaving a redirect. Also assuming that this change will not completely break something important on the back-end, but someone smart who knows what they are doing should make sure it won't. • Category:Champions icon these currently occupy main namespace, with quests in Category:Champions icon being disambiguated with "(quest)". Those icons were never in the game, exist only in databases, and shouldn't occupy main namespace. Move those icons that correspond to their quest equivalent (with "(quest)") to "(alpha)" or "(unused)" and move the quests in question to main namespace so that they don't contain "(quest)" in their name.   • Instead of keeping poorly made articles with little to nothing to add on, they're getting deleted and the quests are moving over.
