Thank you all for your enthusiasm and interest in attending BlizzCon 2007. We have selected (via Excel Randomizer) two people from the below list of nominations to attend this year.

We are very excited for TUSVA and Kaydeethree to represent WowWiki and Wikia at Blizzcon! Make sure you load them up with interesting questions to ask the Blizzard Folks so they can come back with lots of great content to contribute to the wiki.

If you are still interested in attending BlizzCon at your own expense please leave a note on my talk page and I can probably get a few more tickets to the event itself from Blizzard.

We look forward to sponsoring more events like this, in the future! angies 16:24, 14 June 2007 (UTC)

Remember, be exemplars, and don't start any inter-fandom wars- my eyebrows still haven't grown back from the last one ;-P --Ragestorm (talk · contr) 18:46, 14 June 2007 (UTC)
That's weaksauce Rage. :P --Sky (t · c · w) 17:56, 29 June 2007 (UTC)

  • I personally want to meet Slouken and a number of people from the addon community. Was hoping to make it this year, but can't afford to take both me and my husband. If one of us were paid for however.... *grin* User:Tekkub/Sig (2500-3000 edits)
  • Crossing the Mississippi for the second time in my life would be nice. Kaydeethree (~110 edits)
  • I'm Asian. :D But seriously, I've been following Blizz since the start, loving nearly every game they've put out. And Blizzard has turned me into a World of Warcrack addict. Pzychotix 05:31, 8 June 2007 (UTC) (1000+ edits)
  • Speaking from a lore perspective, I'd love to be on the front lines in case they unveil anything else lore-shattering. <grin> With luck, I can corner Metzen himself for a Bookkeeping discussion...--Ragestorm (talk · contr) 11:35, 8 June 2007 (UTC) (5000+ edits)
  • World of Warcraft has taken over my life, mostly because of the people in the community and the quality that the developers bring forth. I love WoWWiki and what it brings to the community and would be very excited to spread the word while meeting some people! -- TUSVA ~ T | C 12:05, 8 June 2007 (UTC) (5000+ edits)
  • Attending BlizzCon means being able to finally get a Murloc pet. Plus, some Cali sun would do me some good. --Lindorm 21:12, 8 June 2007 (UTC) (~150 edits)
Murloc pets were last year, this year it's murloc suits and SC2 beta keys.User:Tekkub/Sig 21:42, 8 June 2007 (UTC)
Actually, its "Blizzard is offering free beta keys for an unannounced Blizzard game", SC2 is announced :) Have fun guessing! Edit: Aparantly I am wrong. User:Tecnobrat/Sig 14:46, 14 June 2007 (UTC)
  • Not been to many out-of-state conventions, never to BlizzCon. Would like to get Blizzard's opinions on WoWWiki, find out what THEY would like to see, maybe find how to make it easier for them to participate. --Eirik Ratcatcher 21:38, 8 June 2007 (UTC) (~400 useful edits)
  • I'd love to meet the minds behind my latest obsession, in particular the artists who gave each area a distinct look and feel Syzgyn 11:09, 11 June 2007 (UTC) (~150 edits)
  • I love World of Warcraft and I've been trying to contribute here as much as I can. I've never been to a con other than A-Con before either so this will be fun. (Plus I grew up in CA so it will be fun to go back!) (between 250-500) User:Lessthan1337/Sig 12:36, 12 June 2007 (UTC)

WoWWiki/Wikia Blizzcon winners responsibilities?

Do these lucky folks just get free tickets or do they have to do something for us? I think they owe us at least some photos of their wild times (assuming they are no worse than PG-13, I guess). Yes/No?

I will probably be in the area, but I'm too cheap to buy tickets. ;-) --Fandyllic (talk · contr) 6:04 PM PST 21 June 2007

It is sold out... The winners must attend the meetings and press interviews organized by Wikia and Blizzard, and while there, you will meet with some of the marketing folks at Blizzard and do a few press interviews (Wikia will set these up), wear a WoWWiki T-Shirt, and talk non-stop about how awesome this community is! It says that.--SWM2448 00:02, 22 June 2007 (UTC)

Shouldn't this be in the Wowpedia namespace? — SurafbrovWowpedia's wiki representative T / C 22:55, 22 December 2017 (UTC)
