Wyvern Sting is a level 75 Beast Mastery and Marksmanship hunter talent. It puts an enemy to sleep for 30 seconds.

Tips

• Useful in PvP as a pre-emptive counter to early use of Fear, or as a free chance to hit the target with an Aimed Shot or other powerful attack.

Patch changes

• Patch 8.0.1 (2018-07-17): Removed.
  
• Patch 7.0.3 (2016-07-19): No longer available to Survival hunters.
  
• Patch 6.0.2 (2014-10-14): Now has a 1.5 second cast time.
  
• Patch 5.4.0 (2013-09-10): Now has a range of 40 yards (up from 35 yards).
  
• Patch 5.2.0 (2013-03-05): Wyvern Sting no longer has a Focus cost (was 10 Focus), and its cooldown is now 45 seconds (was 60 seconds).
  
• Patch 5.0.4 (2012-08-28): Now available to all specializations as a talent. No longer causes a damage-over-time effect to the target.
  
• Patch 3.1.0 (2009-04-14): Duration increased from 12 sec to 30 sec. PvP duration reduced from 10 sec to 6 sec.
  
• Patch 1.7.0 (2005-09-13): Added, replacing [Lacerate] as the 31-talent point for Survival.
