Ymiron, the Fallen King is the first boss in Maw of Souls.
Adventure Guide
Ymiron, one-time king of the vrykul of Northrend, was a mighty warrior held in awe by his people. The gates of the Halls of Valor awaited him in the afterlife. But, hungry for more power, he struck a dark bargain with the Lich King. When adventurers struck him down, he found the eternal Halls closed to him. And so, the damned king waits in purgatory on the shores of the Maw of Souls.
Overview
Ymiron combats players utilizing dark magic, creating essences of Bane that orbit him that explode upon contact.
Damage Dealers
- Be aware of the knockback from Winds of Northrend.
- Move away from Ymiron to avoid Screams of the Dead.
- Defeat Risen Warriors created from Arise, Fallen quickly.
Healers
- Be aware of the knockback from Winds of Northrend.
- Dispel Screams of the Dead from affected targets.
Tanks
- Be aware of the knockback from Winds of Northrend.
- Move away from Ymiron to avoid Screams of the Dead.
- When Ymiron's mana bar fills, he will use Dark Slash, inflicting significant damage.
Abilities
- Dark Slash — Strikes his target from beyond the void, inflicting 682500 to 717500 Shadow damage.
- Fetid Rot — Afflicts the target with Fetid Rot, inflicting 80000 Nature damage every 3 sec and decreasing healing received by 15% per stack for 15 sec. Begins at 5 stacks and reduces stacks by one each tick.
- Screams of the Dead — Lets out a bone chilling scream, inflicting 166250 to 183750 Shadow damage and fearing enemies within 12 yards for 5 sec.
- Winds of Northrend — Blast enemies with a frigid wind, knocking back all enemies and inflicting 156000 to 164000 Frost damage.
- Bane — Surrounds the caster with swirling essences of Bane over 14 sec. Touching the essences of Bane inflicts 380000 to 420000 Shadow damage to the triggered target and an additional 30875 to 34125 Shadow damage to all enemies.
- Arise, Fallen — Converts any remaining Essences of Bane into Risen Warriors, inflicting 95000 to 105000 Shadow damage to targets within 3 yards when summoned.
- Vigor — The skeleton increases its vigor periodically, increasing damage done by 10%. This effect stacks.
