Young Wolves are wolf mobs that can be found in Elwynn Forest, just outside the gate to Northshire Valley. They often travel alongside a Mangy Wolf. These Young Wolf/Mangy Wolf pairs are linked; if one is attacked, the other will aggro as well, no matter the distance between them.
Before the Cataclysm, they also dwelled in Northshire Valley proper. Eagan Peltskinner had put a bounty on the Young Wolves and Timber Wolves in Northshire, asking adventurers to fetch him their meat to cook.
In the time leading up to the Cataclysm, these wolves contracted a mysterious disease, though they eventually recovered.
